Compare playing styles with player archetypes
We've classified every ATP player into one of 12 archetypes, or playing styles, based on their serve, return, and break-point metrics.

Win rate for the row archetype against each column archetype. Based on historical ATP matches.
How archetypes add context
Each player is assigned an archetype by clustering their career serve and return statistics - ace rate, service points won, return points won, and break point conversion. The cluster is updated after every season.
When two players are matched up, the historical win rate between their archetypes is used as a filter and context layer on top of the predictions. A Servebot facing The Complete Package carries a structural disadvantage that Elo alone might not capture.
Archetype context is most relevant on hard courts and clay, where playing style has the most consistent impact. On grass, serve dominance flattens many matchup edges.
